The Church For People Who Are “Spiritual, But Not Religious”

Very funny. The whole idea that spirituality and religion are at odds is a peculiarly modern phenomenon, an ersatz I-it analysis which obliterates religion as an organic whole and leaves us with dangling, free-floating bogus domains which actually have little or no meaning except as they are part of the whole religious phenomenon. An analogy: baseball with only pitching, but no hitting, fielding or running, or without history, statistics, historic stadiums or umpires. —Rabbi Kerry Baker
